Chopper Dude Chopper
My last couple of photos from this years Easy Rider festival at Vegabaren. Two guys on their choppers, deciding it is time to ride home.

Boss Hoss Boss Hoss Boss Hoss
I visited the annual motorcycle meet at Vegabaren in Handen today. The Easy Rider Festival. Summer had returned and it was warm and sunny. Unfortunately the meet collided with the big Mälaren Runt motorcycle race which attracts around 25 000 riders, so Vegabaren wasn't too crowded this time around. This is a Boss Hoss bike. It will set you back nearly a million SEK.

Organ Donor Coffee to Go
While shooting some snaps from a bridge I spotted at least two potential organ donors. Driving without a helmet in the busy traffic can be really stupid and of course very illegal. The fine for that is 1500SEK. Driving around with a mug of coffee in one hand seems a bit ridiculous. And unnecessary as it would be very tricky to drink some of that coffee with the helmet on!

44 Patrik Defeated
The second biker from the cafe the other day. Patrik. His bike is a green Harley Davidson from the 1940s. It had a lot of interesting details, one of which you can see here, a skull.

Royal Crowns RC
Two cool bikes were parked outside my favorite cafe on Saturday, so I had to grab a few shots. The initials on the gas tank, RC, stands for Royal Crowns. That is the name of the American football team in the neighboring municipality of Tyresö. The biker's son plays in the team. Next season starts one month from now. I have never seen a game, but maybe I should go to their next game.

The Happy Biker Checking out the photographer
Hey look, it's that guy on the bridge again, taking photos! Always fun when people, in this case a happy biker and a curious car enthusiast notice me. I'm standing on a wooden bridge that crosses Gudöbroleden, a busy road in Handen. The car is a Cadillac DeVille from 1970.

Cool Dog of the Day
I sometimes take photos from a pedestrian bridge that crosses a busy road in Handen. You don't have to wait long before something interesting comes by. Like this cool dog riding shotgun in his humans Harley. It says Kastro on the sidecar so I'm guessing that is the name of the cool dog.

Badass Biker This biker wanted my attention in Västerhaninge a while back. When he stopped for a chat I recognised him as The Volvo Vera guy, Björn Virving that I met and photographed for this blog four years ago. The motorcycle is a 1955 Matchless G80. Björn was on his way to the Motor-vehicle inspection site in Jordbro.

An object of desire
This Harley Davidson was white when it rolled out of the Harley Davidson Motor Company factory in Milwaukee back in 1948. Sixty four years later it has a new look. I had the intention of finding an object of desire at the recent Easy Rider Festival in Handen for a Utata project. I noticed this bike a few kilometres from where the festival was held. A small group of bikers were standing around it. A little later I saw the owner arriving on the Harley, and so did everyone else at the festival. The owner had entered the bike into one of the best in show contests so I asked him if he could give me a few minutes to take some photos before he added the contest sign on the bike.

Can-Am I asked for a burnout when the guy riding the Can-Am left the cafe yesterday but that didn't really happen so he will not appear on any photo.. Don't see to many of these bikes out on the roads.

Flying High

Eldsjäl

A while back I visited the motor-stadium at Högsta in Haninge when they had an open house weekend. The racetrack opened in 1976. At the track you can watch Rally, Folkrace, Offroad, Rallycross and Crosscart. Not sure who the kid in the photo here is, but he was a good motocross racer that's for sure. Second photo shows 85-year old Nils Södergren from Västerhaninge who you have met on this blog before. It's mostly thanks to him that the high flying kid can race here as it was Nils and a friend who started it all back in the 1970s. I talked for a while with Nils and he told me a few interesting stories about his involvement in the club.

Great Minds Think Alike

Mission Accomplished

Closing in on a roundabout in Handen today I noticed a photographer dressed in leather in action. It was Carina who was busy documenting the thousands of tulips that are growing in the roundabout. When she and Totte (who owns the Harley), passed by here a few days ago Carina told him that she needed to document that and that was what she was doing when I met them today.

Oh, and please don't forget to read about the young banker in the post that disappeared the other day!

Diesel the Dog

Carina & Diesel

This is Diesel the Dog. Sitting in his dog carrier waiting for the photographer to stop shooting. Diesel belongs to Carina. I spotted Carina & Diesel at Poseidon's Square on Sunday and knew that I had to take their portrait. Carina told me that she has been driving motorcycles for around four years. She uses the Honda Shadow on a daily basis for as long as the weather and climate will let her. When she's not out on the road with Diesel she is busy running her Pressbyrån franchise.

Riding his Motorcycle

Nice spring weather yesterday with around 15C and a clear blue sky. I took a bike ride as did this guy although he is cheating by using an engine. I was having a cup of coffee at my favorite cafe when I heard the motorcycle, from where I was sitting I only had a second to get the shot but it turned out OK. A little later I had to walk home with the bike after a third flat tire in a week.
