Beatrice I was on my way home after a rather unsuccessful day of photography when I spotted a blond girl with silver colored shoes. So I decided to ask her for a portrait. This is Beatrice. From Västerhaninge. Still in secondary school. But she has already decided on her future. Beatrice is a future economist. Her hobbies include working out at the gym and playing classical pieces on the piano. It was a tricky shoot, the wind picked up. I used one focus point and aimed for one of her eyes, but on a few of the photos the camera locked on to her blond hair that was flying left and right!

Michelle
It was the warmest day of the year so far when I met Michelle in Handen on Friday. She had just been to the gym and seemed very upbeat (go endorphines!). She is studying to become a radiology nurse and is working as one this Summer. Come August she will take a week off and visit Barcelona.

Nea Raising a tent Biking through Lake Rudan yesterday I noticed three people trying their best to set up a tent on the lawn between the two lakes. That can sometimes be fun to watch, so I stopped for a closer look. Two of them had green hair which was another reason for me to see what was going on. Turns out that there's a three day long festival for University students. The event is called Dunder och Brak. Nea is one of the organisers. She told me that there will be a few hours of fun on Saturday, around midday, when two hundred or so students from across Sweden will play games, and possibly even enjoy some alcoholic beverages here. Sounds like a good photo op to me! Nea's friend is nick named Snigel.

The Pink Pop Punk Girl

This is a teenager that is hard to miss. Steffi is a secondary school student from Tungelsta. She plays the drums in a pop punk band called Trimmad Rullator (The Tuned Walker). Two years from now when she graduates from school she will probably start working as an assistant in a tattoo studio called PMS. Oh, and yes Julie, Steffi told me that she already have four tattoos. Not bad for a sixteen year old girl.

The Young Banker

This is Oscar Eriksson. A university student with an internship at the Swedish financial group SEB. It's his first year at uni and he plans to keep his job as a trainee at the bank in Handen until he graduates. His big hobby is football. He grew up playing with AIK. And spent one year at San Francisco State University playing soccer. I met him at Poseidon's square yesterday where he was enjoying lunch in the summer sunshine. We talked a bit about flickr and football before it was time to take a few portraits.

I Love That Old Time Music

Old Style Phonograph

This is Paula, she was standing in the sunshine reading a book near the commuter station in Handen yesterday afternoon when I came around the corner. The first thing I noticed was one of her tattoos, depicting an old style phonograph. I asked her about it and she told me she loved old-time music. She didn't feel like having her photo taken so I had to turn on the Steffe charm and luckily it worked! Paula is a university college student studying Economics,Science and Design at the Södertörn University in Huddinge. On her free time she enjoys drawing and painting. After I had taken a few quick portraits her ride arrived as we agreed that having ones photo taken really isn't that hard after all.

I'll climb anything!

This is Robert. He stood out a bit from the rest of the people I noticed at Poseidon's square on Friday so I decided to ask him for a portrait. Robert has moved around a bit and currently he lives in Lomma in Malmö in the south of Sweden. He is studying to become a tree surgeon, (or arborist if you like). What do you do for fun I asked. I climb things was his answer. Doesn't matter what it is, if there's a chance that you can climb it Robert will have a go. He has climbed quite a few buildings in Stockholm. Illegally and without any protection of course. It's the best way to get to the roof he told me!
