The gorgeous electricianSmoking Hot
Funny story here. I noticed this girl all dressed in white as she disappeared into a grocery store in Handen and figured I needed to take her photo. So I approach her when she comes out from the store. First thing she says to me is that she doesn't like having her photo taken. Second thing that she never looks good when photographed. So I obviously had to prove her wrong! After the photos I ask her a few questions (she works as an electrician, family business), and when the tells me that her name is Catlin I recognize her from when we met five years ago! You can see her on the second photo of that post if you press here.

With the warm wind in her hair Nathalie Poem
I can never resist to take a photo of a redhead. This is Nathalie. She was out walking with her daughter when I spotted her in Handen. Nathalie has a few interesting tattoos. All made by her boyfriend who works as a tattooist. The poem on her arm is by Dean Jackson and goes like this: “When she transformed into a butterfly, the caterpillars spoke not of her beauty, but of her weirdness. They wanted her to change back into what she always had been. But she had wings.” Oh, and here's an update regarding comments about tattoos. If you don't like tattoos just keep that info to yourself, because chances are that you have already told me that a few times.

Posing Model
Ariving home to Tungelsta on one of those (rare), warm Summer days recently I noticed a girl shooting selfies with her smart-phone outside a restaurant. I rode over on my bike, parked it and informed her that I had a better camera and that I could shoot a bunch of portraits of her if she wanted me to. Meet Tatiana. From Västerås. Possibly a future supermodel, so remember where you saw her first! If that dream doesn't come true she is thinking about a career as a flight attendant. After the short photo shoot on the lawn I gave her my card, she gave me a hug and then she and her three friends walked over to the bus stop as they were on their way to the big Pride parade in Stockholm. After starting the slideshow press the four arrows to the left for a full screen view.

Aylin Retro Style
This is Aylin. I knew immediately that I had to take a few portraits of her when I met her in Handen a few days ago. She speaks four languages. Originally from Turkey. Grew up in Berlin. Today a preschool teacher in Sweden. She changes style quite often so the next time I see her she could look like a rock girl. That would be fun to see!

Pose Raggarbrud
Street photography is always fun. I did shoot a few candid portraits at the Greaser meet. This pretty girl was hard to miss. I'm 100% certain that she spotted me when I shot the second photo. The theme day this month is People Watching.

Dressed in Pink & Black

Dressed in black and with black hair. But the first thing I noticed about Nora was her pink sunglasses. We met near the commuter station in Handen yesterday, only meters from where I photographed the Phantom earlier this year. As I was asking her a few questions one of her friends turned up. Nora is a local girl. She works as a PA for Meter TV. She enjoys drawing and photography so I told her to open a flickr account.

A Not so Candid Portrait

It's tricky sometimes to shoot candid portraits. At least when you are standing so close that the babe in question can hear the camera click. But in the end it made for a better portrait.

The Firefighter

This was a different encounter. As I was shooting a couple of portraits of Fredrik, this woman ran past us. A few minutes later I caught up with her and from my bike I asked her if I could take a portrait and ask a few questions. Sure, as long as I can keep running was the answer! So I started asking my questions on the fly. This is Nina from Tungelsta. She was out on a 20 kilometre run in preparation for her first Marathon, the Stockholm Marathon. As you can see she is super fit. Nina works as a personal trainer at S.A.T.S gym in Handen, but she recently passed the fire-fighter entrance exam and is currently in a very tough seven week programme in her fire-fighter training. After our chat I then had to leave Nina behind me so to speak as I needed to jump off the bike and snap a few quick shots before she ran past me again!

A Future Police Officer

Spring is here, and with it the sunshine, so all the cool kids are wearing sunglasses. This pretty girl is nicknamed Karro. I spotted her in Handen yesterday and moved in for a chat and a portrait. Karro works at the veterinary clinic in Kolartorp (Jim has a photo of the clinic).Karro comes from Rangsta in Nynäshamn. Her big hobby is horses which isn't all that surprising as she grew up on a horse farm. So you are a future veterinarian then I asked? But that wasn't the case at all. In stead she wants to become a police officer. That was all we had time to talk about as Karro was late for her train.

Johanna

This is Johanna. I first noticed her at the bakery and cafe this afternoon where she was applying for a job. A bit later I saw her again near a Supermarket and decided to ask her for a portrait. Johanna is a student at the Riksäpplet secondary school, where she is reading studying the hotel and restaurant programme. Johanna told me that she is a good baker and is always experimenting with different cake recipes, but that she will never eat the cakes, she leaves that for friends and family! The reason for that is that she wants to stay fit. She used to compete both in horse riding and tennis, but for now she only works out at the gym. I hope Henrik will give her the job so that she can serve me coffee and one of her cakes at the cafe this spring!
